SHOW ME YOUR GLORY
Exodus 33:8-23
Sometimes you run across a song that expresses the cry of your heart that you could not express yourself. This song by Third Day titled "Show me your Glory" is one of those songs for me. Each time I hear this song it resonates at a deep place in my spirit. I honestly feel like I could have written this song myself. This song is actually based from scripture of where Moses cries out to God for Him to show him His glory. And as a result of that cry Moses has a encounter w/God that was unforgettable, and no doubt made a deep impression upon his heart and life. You can never have an expierence w/God, and remain the same afterwards. Moses cries out in verse 18 of Exodus 33 "I beseech thee, shew me thy glory." So many believe God is just a imagined character in a book, but my friends I promise you He is so much more...so much more.
When I was 20 years old I had an encounter w/God that forever changed my life. I had an expierence something like Moses. I did not see a figure as he did, or get put into the cleft of a rock as the Glory of the Lord passed by. But, at an altar at my home church (New Hope Church) I came in contact w/the Glory of God. And I do mean the tangible presence of God. I was a broken and troubled young man addicted to drugs and at the point of suicide. That day as I cried unto God. The God who created the universe, and hung the stars and the moons heard me.
The Lord is nigh unto those that are of a broken heart; AND SAVETH SUCH as be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth. Psalm 145:18

All things work together
Often times in this life we get throwed a curve ball of pain and destruction that effects us deeply. The majority of us carry that pain until it festers inside, and destroys us inwardly. If we allow that pain to be magnified in our lives. Not only will it kill us, but it will also seep out to destroy the lives of those around us. To live in a offended state is a fruitless life that is marked w/death in all areas. That is not to minimize your pain. Your pain is real, and I know that it hurts. But that is why Jesus came in the flesh not to just die for our sins, but that He may also suffer the things in which we have suffered. And through the sufferings He suffered He is able to relate to us, and to understand instinctly what we feel. And He is able to intercede, and to comfort us in those moments of "tragedies" as some have called "blessings in disguise."
During the dark moments in life it is important to understand that God is sovereign. And nothing escapes His attention. Some have accused God of being evil for the happenings of this day and time. Some wonder why there are murders, and all of the cruel things that we see daily on the nightly news. I don't blame God for these things. If God is guilty of anything He is guilty of loving us to much. I wonder why He doesn't destroy us with the snap of His fingers, but deep down I know the answer to that question. Because of Jesus Christ He is allowing mankind time to turn around. To repent and be saved. Coming into a relationship w/God changes the heart of man. The heart of the problem is the problem of the human heart, and the antidote is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
So, why does pain still touch the life of the christian? I personally believe that it touches the life of the christian that we may learn a language that will speak to others in the same situation. Through our pain we learn a language that ministers to the spirit, and not just the mind. Any christian can speak to others about Christ. But, if we have suffered an issue/pain in our life it builds a bridge to the hearer that they may hear the words of Christ more clearly. Why? because we have been there. We understand that heart that suffers. We are able to give Hope were there seemed to be none. We can say "I have been through this you can make it." So don't grow discouraged during the difficult times in life. Remember it will be for an eternal purpose that you may never realize here on Earth, but you will one day. There are one of two choices set before you. That you can make regarding your pain. You can either let it kill you, or you can let it propel you into your destiny. Let it take you to the next level that God intends you to be. Never take your eyes off Jesus. Always keep looking unto Jesus....keep your eyes fastened on Jesus knowing that you are loved by Him.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39
Remember always that Jesus loves you, and that He is working something deeper in your life than you yet realize. And that you are going through to the other side of this storm. Nothing shall separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. But, will you allow your temporary situation/circumstance separate you from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus? Instead of running from God....run headlong into God, and get covered in the blanket of the Holy Spirit.

Phymean as a CNN Hero
I have decided to post some blogs highlighting individuals that are an inspiration in my life. Individuals who shine a light in these stressful and tragic times that we are living in. I believe it is important for us to have a hero. An inspiration that will shine in the midst of the darkness, and reflects that there is still hope...and that Love still abounds. I would love these blogs to encourage, uplift, and to set into action those of us who have a dream unfullfilled....or see a need that needs to be met. I sincerely believe in the power of one person to change the world, and to make it a better place for us all, and for the upcoming generations. I believe that one individual can send out a ripple effect that can touch many lives, and through that life that is touched...that life in turn can touch many other lives. I am under the belief that if you don't give hope...you become hopeless. My constant prayer before God is this..."Lord, let my heart break for the need of others." I say, Lets extend our hands out to those in the world who are less fortunate than us. Will you stand up for what is right? Will you be Gods hands and feet? Will you let Him use you to walk among humanity again, and love through you?

Willie Will "Turn It Around"
I love this song! The heart of the Lord is tender and merciful. It is good to know that we can have a fresh start in Him no matter what we have done, and where we have been. As long as there is breath in our body there is hope! A life of new beginnings is only a prayer away.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
