Willie Will "Turn It Around"

I love this song! The heart of the Lord is tender and merciful. It is good to know that we can have a fresh start in Him no matter what we have done, and where we have been. As long as there is breath in our body there is hope! A life of new beginnings is only a prayer away.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Mission Field Japan video

I thought I would share this video that has touched my heart deeply. The world is full of those that are hurting, that are empty, and searching for the truth...searching for a light in the midst of their darkness. Each time I watch this video I am reminded of Gods call for us to GO OUT and preach the good news, and to fulfill the Great Commision. No matter our race, our stature in life, or the many things that seperate us from each other. At the core of our being we all desire the same things in life. We all want to love, and to be loved, and to live our lives with purpose. There is a emptiness in each of us that only God can fill. We must spread the good news of our God, and of His great Mercy and Love. He has charged us as His ambassadors....lets not fail, lets go forward in Jesus name!!

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

Among the Fragments (Mexico)

I left for Mexico on my first mission trip on July 1st. I returned back to the states the 6th of July. And since then I have been spending alot of time re-living the events that happened. This was my first cross cultural missions trip, and it has forever changed my life.
I went with three other gentleman in a van. I think next time that I will fly instead. The trip from Tennessee to Mexico was a long trip! Well, actually it was to Alamo, Texas (that is were the mission compound was) where we actually stayed at night. It was much to dangerous to stay in Mexico at night.
After about a 20hr drive we arrived at the mission compound. We met and greeted other mission teams from different states like Oklahoma, Missouri, Kentucky, and others from Tennessee. The first night we assembled all types of different bags, and gifts to hand out the next day in Mexico.
The city that we went to was a border town outside Alamo called Reynosa. Reynosa is a city that is poverty stricken and is touched with so much violence. It is a place that is infected with major gangs, and the infamous drug cartels that have made the national headlines with the drug wars that spilled over into the United States. Just a week before I arrived a governor nominee (who looked as though he was gonna win the race) was shot to death by the drug cartels because he denounced the acts of the cartels. So the trip I took was a dangerous trip, but God was faithful in protecting all of us without any incident. In fact God was faithful in more than one way. There are so many things I could say of how God was faithful, but one event is very dear to me. One night we were to feed those that showed up at a church service. We had an expected amount that was to show up. All of the food was prepared in Texas before going across the border into Mexico. And there was enough food to feed only about 70 people. There was 70 kids that showed up! So in addition to the 70 kids, there was the parents, and other individuals that were invited. It looked as though we would not be able to feed all of the Mexicans or ourselves. But God was faithful!! We saw that as we began to distribute the food among them that the Lord done a miraclelous thing before our eyes without us even knowing. The Lord multiplied the food as He did in John 6:1-14. We were able to feed all those that attended, and were able to feed ourselves. I thank God for what He did that night! He is truly our Jehovah Jireh! The Lord our provider! All that we need, or should ever seek is in Him. I estimate that with food for 70 people the Lord was able to feed a 100 to 200 hundred people. I ask myself....with such a great God as this that I love and serve. Is there any area of my life that I should not give Him, or trust Him completely with? I look forward to the next mission trip!
